Sunday School at FPC

    Everyone is welcome at First Presbyterian Church.  Come worship with us in Sunday School and Church.

The Wednesday Night Adult Class is studying the Resurrection.  The class is being taught by Rev. Robert Montgomery.  It begins at 6:30 pm, immediately following the Simple Supper, and meets in the Margaret Butler Library.

Opening Assembly Leaders for March:  7th - Shelly Goolsby, 14th - Flora Smith, 21st - J. B. Smith, 28th - Grant Vosburgh

 

The Nursery Sunday School class offers the youngest children the opportunity to experience God's love through stories, songs and play together.  Emma Montgomery is leading this class.  Topic for study is "We Belong to God."

3-5th Grade Class - "Confessing the Faith" led by Pam Petty.

Junior/Senior High - "Faith Questions" led by Teresa Burns.

Adult Sunday School Classes:  Presbyterian 101:  Peculiar Treasures:  A Biblical Who's Who by  Frederick Buechner led by Brock Birdsong.  The Seekers Class meets in the library and is studying the Book of Acts.  It's a group discussion.   The Keystone Class meets in Stacy Chapel.  This class is being taught by Marvin and Karen Barnett.  It is a Present Word study of "Teachings of Community."

Wednesday Night Supper for March 2010:  3rd - Worship (BBQ), 10th - Christian Ed (Subs), 17th - Seekers (Pizza),  24th - 101 Class (Hamburgers), 31st - SCMU (Family Night Covered Dish)

Vacation Bible School Meeting:  A Vacation Bible School planning meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 25, at 5:30 pm in the library.  The Living Waters for the World VBS curriculum will be used.  If  you are interested in helping to prepare for the week or be a leader for one of the activity centers, please plan on joining us at this meeting.  All ages, gifts and skills are very much needed to make this a successful week.
